In this competition project Kraljeve vode ( Kings spring) is being treated as a tourist attractive place whose potentials are recognized in relief, vegetation but also built structure- hotels, villas, indoor and outdoor sport and recreational areas such as skiing, swimming, tennis, playgrounds, hiking, etc.
With built structure, we wish to promote the exact character this place has. When we build a center, we don’t do it in a manner that emphasizes the already built structure, rather in a way that will emphasize all the potentials of a certain place with an intention to create a new identity for the existing building.
Location is divided in two areas- center and ski slopes. What may be the greatest potential of the site is its central location with visual communication to landscape of the mountain. Alongside a square facing the lake, a new square is formed near the ski slopes. Squares and open spaces enhance fluidity of space on site, possibility of making connections with its surroundings and possibility of town square extension.
Main goals of this project are:
Achieving morphological continuity with ski slopes
Visual connection with ski slopes
Bridging traffic and integrating the square with the ski slopes
Providing location fluidity from center outwards
